Material Today

Privacy policy

Last updated November 5, 2026

Material Today is run by Anthony Haas. This page explains what happens to your information when you visit this site or subscribe to the newsletter.

What I collect

When you subscribe, I keep:

  • Your email address
  • Your subscription status
  • The dates you signed up, confirmed or unsubscribed
  • A random code that makes your unsubscribe link work

I don't ask for your name, and this site has no accounts, advertising or analytics tools. The newsletter doesn't use tracking pixels or tracked links, so I don't record who opens an email or what they click.

The companies that run this site's hosting and database may keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses and browser details, to operate and secure their services.

How I use it

I use your email address to send the newsletter and to confirm your signup. I don't sell or rent your information, and I don't use it for advertising.

Who handles it

A few companies help run this service and process information for it:

  • Supabase stores the subscriber list
  • Vercel hosts this website
  • Google delivers email through Gmail

I also keep a copy of the subscriber list in a private file on my own computer. The online subscriber list is stored on servers in the United States.

How to unsubscribe

Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any issue, or reply to an issue and ask to be removed. I keep a record that you unsubscribed so you don't get added back by mistake.

Deleting your information

I keep your information while you're subscribed, and after you unsubscribe unless you ask me to delete it. To ask what I hold about you, or to have it deleted, email ajayhaas.business@gmail.com.

Children

This newsletter is meant for adults and isn't directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
